Fremont, California – March 18th, 2011 – Provista, a Service Disabled Veteran business specializing in IBM technologies and Asset, Inventory & Evidence Management Solutions for Public Safety, announced that as of today, March 18th, it is the first North American IBM partner to become SVP Industry Authorized for Government.

The Software Value Plus (SVP) Industry Authorization is an elite initiative that recognizes IBM Business Partners who have industry skills and solutions which are aligned with specific IBM Industry Framework’s or business strategy.

The initiative is a direct response to meet the demands of IBM customers who are looking to drive more value from their technology investments by leveraging industry best practices. Provista’s experience and capabilities in Public Safety Solutions has led to the development of a suite of products, PR*VIDE, that are aligned with IBM’s Smarter City and Government Framework initiatives.

“The fact that a Service Disabled Veteran Small Business is the first North American Partner to achieve this recognition is due in large part to a great team,” said Joanne Taylor, President and CEO of Provista. She goes on to agree with President Obama’s statement that it is “small businesses like yours that help drive America’s economic growth.”
