Meet Our President
Joanne Taylor, President & CEO
Ms. Taylor has over twenty-five years in business and data processing. While she used to be technical, the last twenty plus years have been spent starting and building PROVISTA. In 1985, Joanne founded PROVISTA to not only provide theoretical solutions and recommendations, but to actually help clients implement those solutions and recommendations.
Prior to her venture into small business, Joanne's specialty was the design and development of business and executive information systems. Before starting PROVISTA, Ms. Taylor was a management consultant for Ernst & Young, where she headed up the Decision Support Practice for the west coast. Before EY, she was Director of Business Systems Development for Amdahl, where she was responsible for developing the applications that supported U.S. Operations. Prior to Amdahl, Joanne worked for Rockwell International, where her team developed the software to perform the necessary contractual reporting for very large government contracts.
Ms. Taylor is a founding member and former director of the Silicon Valley Chapter of the National Association of Women Business Owners (NAWBO). In 1997, she was one of the three finalists for "Enterprising Woman of the Year". In 2001, Ms Taylor was recognized as one of the Leading Women Entrepreneurs of the World.
