Provista Awarded 8(a) STARS II Contract by General Services Administration
Company met stringent guidelines to qualify for $10 billion program
Fremont, CA, August 22, 2011: Provista, a woman-owned business focused on providing cost effective information technology solutions to government, announced today that they are the recipient of the 8(a) STARS II Government-Wide Acquisition Contract (GWAC) from the General Services Administration (GSA). STARS II is a five year, $10 billion program prequalifying and selecting firms who meet stringent criteria, including competitive pricing, technical proficiency and recognized industry credentials.
The 8(a) STARS II program is designed to promote small business utilization and to deliver a streamlined acquisition process for Federal agencies purchasing Information Technology (IT) services or services-based solutions. The announcement of the 8(a) STARS II award came on the heels of Provista’s recent achievement of being the first company in North America to be certified by IBM as Industry Authorized for Government.
